WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PROJECT «LIBRES ET CRÉATIFS»?
«The Estrie Committee for Healthy Lifestyles wished to develop a project aimed at raising awareness among parents and community workers about the importance of free play. In order to promote awareness of the benefits to children of free play, an activity based on free play is planned in different locations in the Estrie region. This activity will allow children to experience freedom in a quality space.
The planned activity is the creation of a free-play area by and for the children, so they can experience the freedom of creating their own environment, whether it means creating artwork in the open, setting up an obstacle course, building cabins, or trails … the possibilities are endless, because no restrictions are placed on creativity for this day of free play!» - Excerpt from the «Cahier d’accompagnement pour l’organisation d’une journée de jeu libre.
