Stress in children: a priority for action

Why?
In today’s society, families are under all kinds of stress, and it has a definite impact on children. Stress is experienced in different ways by different children and has an influence on their behavior. Following the findings by the Memphré en Mouvement partners, supporting children who are experiencing stress has been identified as a priority.
Upcoming Training Sessions
The committee that reflected on an appropriate action chose to organize a training session on the subject. The training will be given by Odrey Ayotte, a psycho-educator who uses the Positive Behavior Approach.
The training will be conducted in two phases.
  • On November 13, 2018 (see advertisement below):
Training conference open to professionals and parents.
With this training, we hope to help parents and educators develop a common language that will allow them to work together with the child. You can find the themes, times and location on the advertisement below.
  • On January 15, 2019 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm:
Workshop/case discussions for professionals only.
In the course of this evening, we will go deeper into the subject by looking at case studies. This will help attendees acquire the skills to: identify a child’s underlying need, and implement specific measures in a daycare setting (accommodations, equipment, transition schedules, communication…).
